Hurricane Irene Designer Ocean Waves

Hey friends,

I apologize for the absence with my Project Photo Daily. When I started this fun project, I had NO idea how popular it would be, especially amongst the wonderful people here in Palm Coast!

For this reason, I am restructuring the whole project! I can’t wait to show you next week!

I’ve posted some shots of the waves I took today at the beach. I’ll be back tomorrow for more. The ocean is right up to the stairs so it’s safe to say that I won’t be able to be out reading or journaling in a lawn chair like I usually do! Thank goodness it’s only temporary.

Please say a prayer for those less fortunate who are really getting hit by Irene.

Project Beach Daily: Day 14 – Starfish

Project Beach Daily Day 014 Project Beach Daily: Day 14 Starfish

Look what washed up on shore today! My guess? The shell of a crab perhaps? What’s intriguing to me is how intact it was when I picked it up today. Not a single chip to the shell, yet it was carried in by such powerful waves!

Although my husband has much better working conditions and pay (ohhh, yes, the pay) working back in the civilian world, he still does and we, as a family, still experience some of these things. This is just a little reminder as we go on with our day in our comfortable and safe lifestyle; waking up in our cozy beds with freedom-filled opportunities. It feels good to acknowledge and appreciate how lucky I am. {Thank you…}.
